Dr. Ritchelle Broadnax, DNP, CRNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner that was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Her nursing career began as a certified nursing assistant at Crowne Healthcare of Montgomery. She enrolled in Trenholm Technical College’s nursing program and upon graduation began working on the Medical/Surgical unit as a licensed practical nurse at Jackson Hospital (Montgomery, AL). Dr. Broadnax was then accepted into the George C. Wallace nursing program (Selma, Alabama) where she received her Associate Degree of Nursing and was subsequently licensed as a registered nurse in Alabama, Georgia and California. After travel nursing for 10 years, she returned to Alabama and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in nursing with honors from Jacksonville State University. She then worked at UAB (Birmingham, AL) and later applied to Troy University’s nursing program (Montgomery, AL) completing a Master’s degree in nursing with a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Afterwards, Dr. Broadnax earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL). She has over 22 years of healthcare experience and currently works in Montgomery and Birmingham, AL.
